In theory the perfect strategy for predictive maintenance can easily be envisioned and savings calculated. The difficult part is usually the practical realization and achieving the planned saving. A predictive maintenance strategy requires an organizational change and a new way of working leading to an initial raise in cost and imposing the difficulty to not knowing when the strategies full potential is achieved. In this talk we will reflect back on several such journeys where we have guided and supported oorganizations on this journey. Emphasis will be on the experiences, lessons learned, the values that are created already on the way and how pitfalls can be avoided.
