2023-01-18 15,000.- for the best degree project in railways Degree project receives prize at Train & Rail Swedtrain's thesis competition 2023 Since 2002, the industry organization Swedtrain has annually awarded a thesis award. In 2023, the award will be presented during Train & Rail's trade show dinner on 25 April. - We look forward to awarding the 2023 prize during Train & Rail to a degree project that focuses on railways, and which has been completed in 2022 at a Swedish university or college, says Gabriel Modeus, general secretary at Swedtrain. The prize is awarded to promote educational and research activities with a focus on railways at Swedish universities. The prize winner receives a prize sum of SEK 15,000. In addition, Swedtrain pays any train travel costs to the award ceremony at Stockholmsmässan. The prize winner will also get to present their thesis on one of Train & Rail's stages the day after the award ceremony. Nominated theses must be submitted to Swedtrain no later than February 5, 2023. Registration is via swedtrain@tebab.com, where the thesis must be sent in pdf format. To participate in the competition, the degree work must have been completed during the academic year 2022. The winner is selected by a jury consisting of Swedtrain's Research and Development Committee, and the jury's decision cannot be appealed.
